Strengthening School Governance & Community Involvement
- Study on 100 School Management Committees (SMCs): Based on our research and recommendations, the Education Minister has issued directives to improve school governance, ensuring stronger oversight and accountability.
- Formation of User Groups: Expanding beyond SMCs, we have introduced User Groups—a participatory model where students, parents, and panchayat members actively engage in school development.
- 10 students (5 boys & 5 girls) take responsibility for key school functions.
- 2 students for science labs, 2 for drinking water, and 2 for smart classes, fostering leadership and accountability.
- 20-25 community members, including parents and panchayat representatives, participate in monthly meetings to monitor progress.
- This collective engagement is expected to improve education outcomes and sustain school improvements beyond project funding.
Smart Schools & Digital Learning
We have introduced Smart Classes and Digital Learning in 15 schools, integrating modern technology into classrooms to make education more interactive and effective.
- Well-equipped Science Labs: Encouraging hands-on learning and critical thinking.
- Digital Classrooms: Enhancing lesson delivery through multimedia tools.
- Teacher Training & Capacity Building: Ensuring educators can effectively use digital resources to improve student engagement.
Health & Hygiene: Creating a Conducive Learning Environment
- Handwashing & Hygiene Awareness: Implemented structured handwashing programs to promote hygiene practices, reducing absenteeism due to illness among 3.2 lac children in Madhya Pradesh in 3 months.
- Sanitation & Safe Drinking Water: Upgraded school sanitation facilities and installed drinking water systems to provide a healthier learning environment.
- Behavior Change among Mothers: Reached 3 lac mothers in 5 months inculcating Hygiene Behavior Change among rural women and 673 Aangawadi Centers.
- Promoted Hygiene Behavior Change among 10274 teachers.
- Covered 3249 schools in a span of 5 months.
Include Vidya Campaign
Inaugurated by Hon’ble Minister of Education Mr. Paras Chandra Jain, the campaign is being implemented in 9 districts of Madhya Pradesh to promote Inclusive Education in Madhya Pradesh.
Mainstreaming Children with Disabilities
Mainstreaming of children with disabilities into formal education by building capacity of teachers, parents and caregivers, developing training modules, teaching learning material and concurrent advocacy with formal education systems.
Functional Literacy to Rural Poor
Functional Literacy for self reliance to women ensuring their engagement in gainful employment. Women once provided functional literacy are playing key role across all livelihood interventions.
