Health: Strengthening Rural Healthcare Access
At Naman Seva Samiti, we are committed to ensuring that healthcare services reach the most marginalized communities. Our interventions focus on health awareness, access to government health schemes, and capacity building for community health volunteers, ensuring that no one is left behind.
Expanding Access to Government Health Benefits
Many rural families are unable to access healthcare services due to a lack of essential documents. To bridge this gap, we:
- Facilitate Ayushman Bharat & UDID Card Registrations: Ensuring that individuals, especially those with disabilities, can receive free or subsidized medical treatment.
- Train Village-Level Volunteers: Community health workers assist residents in navigating government health schemes and accessing empaneled hospitals.
- Improve Hospital Access: We raise awareness about the facilities available at empaneled hospitals, helping villagers make informed healthcare choices.
Strengthening Rural Healthcare Infrastructure
We are now focusing on improving healthcare at the block level by working closely with Community Health Centers (CHCs).
- Training Community Health Volunteers: Doctors will be deputed to rural clusters, where they will train volunteers to provide basic healthcare services and referrals.
- Addressing Superstitious Practices: In many rural areas, traditional faith healing (“jhaad-phook”) is still practiced. We are actively working to replace harmful practices with scientifically-backed treatments through health education and awareness programs.
- Promoting Alternative Therapies: We integrate Ayurveda as an alternative healthcare option, giving villagers access to both modern and traditional medicine.
By training local volunteers, strengthening healthcare infrastructure, and integrating government schemes, Naman Seva Samiti is making quality healthcare accessible and sustainable for rural communities.
Strengthening Frontline Health Workers & Scheme Linkages
We are actively working to bridge gaps between government schemes and beneficiaries by linking:
- Frontline Health Workers (ASHAs & ANMs) with village communities.
- Ladli Behna Yojana & Other Welfare Schemes: Ensuring that rural women and children receive financial and healthcare benefits through proper scheme integration.
